چکیده

Doubly Excited Brushless Reluctance Machine (DEBRM) has gained much attention recently in the area of variable-speed constant-frequency generating systems and adjustable speed drives. Two types of reluctance rotor structure, axially laminated and simple salient rotors, are suggested in the DEBRM development. Due to the unconventional pole number combination of the stator and rotor, performance evaluation of the DEBRM with different rotor structures is difficult. A comparison study of two rotor structures of the DEBRM is presented in this paper by finite element analysis. It is shown that by calculating selfand mutual-flux linkage of the dual stator windings as the function of rotor positions, performance of the complicated’ DEBRM can be evaluated conveniently. Various advantages and disadvantages of the DEBRM associated with the two rotor structures are also discussed.

Analysis of a doubly-excited brushless reluctance machine by finite element method - Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting, 1992., Conference Record of the 1992 IEEE

This paper presents a magnetic field analysis of an original Doubly-Excited Brushless Reluctance Machine (DEBRM). The stator of the DEBRM consists of two sets windings with different pole numbers. The rotor is an axially laminated structure with a pole number different from either of the stator windings. The finite element method is applied by which the magnetic vector potentials under no-load ...

Performance Analysis of Doubly Excited Brushless Generator with Outer Rotor for Wind Power Application

In this paper, a novel doubly excited brushless generator (DEBG) with outer radial laminated magnetic barrier rotor (RLMB-rotor) for wind power application was designed and analyzed. The DEBG has 10 rotor pole numbers with outer rotor. Its performance was investigated using the 2D transient finite element method. The magnetic fields, torque capability, end winding voltage characteristics, radia...

A New Doubly Segmented Structure for Switched Reluctance Motors with High Torque Capability

In this paper, a new magnetic structure for switched reluctance motors is presented. In this structure, both stator and rotor has a segmented topology and there is no magnetic flux path between two stator/rotor segments or any possible combination of them. The proposed segmental structure may be considered with different number of phases as well as different number of segments per phase for any...

Analysis and Comparison Study of Novel Stator-Segmented Switched Reluctance Motor

This paper presents analysis and comparative study of a novel high-torque three-phase switched reluctance motor (SRM) with magnetically isolated stator segments. In the proposed SRM, each segment has a concentric winding located on the center body of it and two diametrically opposite windings which form the motor phase. There are four salient poles in the stator segment. Two of them share their...
